URL Encoder / Decoder — Usage guide
Percent-encode or decode one URL component. This converts text; it does not preserve or normalize a complete URL.
How to use it
- Enter the component to encode or decode.
- Choose the conversion direction.
- Copy the result into the appropriate part of your URL.

Does it encode a complete URL?
No. It converts a component such as a path fragment or query value. Separators are encoded if you enter a whole URL.
Are spaces converted to plus signs?
Component encoding represents spaces as %20. Form encoding uses a different plus-sign convention.
What happens to malformed percent escapes?
The decoder reports an error and keeps the original input intact.
